Log In

So today I logged in normally and started doing my normal routine but for some reason tris kept logging me out? I would go to type up a message and tris would log me out! I don't know why. So finally I got fed up with it, logged out and clicked the remember me button. So far it hasn't logged me out but why is the site logging me out a lot until I click that button? Or whatever...
It was really worrying me and still is... I know I have to click that button if I don't want to be logged out if I leave tris alone for 5 minutes...
So do you know what was up? Why it kept logging me out? Do we always have to click that button to not be logged out every five seconds we aren't actively looking through forums?? Ono

It should be about five minutes, although not every action you take on the site updates the timer.

Why is the timer at five minutes? Isn't that a little short?

*checks* Actually, according to the admin CP, it's set to 15 minutes.

But literally I was typing up a short message and it logged me out.
Everytime I would go to a different page it would log me out

usually it will work... O_O I never log out of trisphee on my home computer.

Happens to me all the time when I leave site alone for a few minutes. I don't have the "remember me" button ticked. It seems to vary a bit but I generally don't consider it to be a minor annoyance. I highlight and copy any long posts before I post them just in case I get logged out. It only takes a couple of seconds and is worth the trouble when I do lose the post.

If your kindle doesn't save any cookies it may not keep you logged in too well, I just always have that box checked.

It does save cookies

That happened to me several times today on my laptop...once when I was in the middle of clothing my avatar >.<

It makes me paranoid that someone is trying to log into my account or something, lol

Um, just as a statement you may want to try clicking the box that says something like, "remember me" right under the password box when you log in. It keeps you from getting logged out if you are deemed inactive.
