"I'd have to ask my boss if I can get a raise." The waitress seemed to have perfect timing as she came by dropping another bottle of wine and two plates of cannelloni's for desert. Galvin drank deeply from the burgundy liquid before plucking the pastry off its plate. He absentmindedly sucked down the cream before biting into the dough and licking his lips.

if he did not know better he would have thought that pyce was trying to get him with innuendo but he refused to even consider it. when the desserts arrived he shoved his own at the sloppily eating man across from him. he had not forgotten how erotically pyce made messes and the thought of kissing away the cream was too much for him to even consider trying to eat his own. he drained the glass and filled it again, "if you work hard and make me a profit i think a raise can be managed"

Some how Galvin found a napkin. "That should not be a problem, though a new barkeep needs to be found and I am not sure what person would qualify. The old one kept watering down drinks after I told him to stop." his eyes fell on the second desert and he pushed it back towards the other. "Are you sure?"

This time while the other was talking, he broke off a piece of the pastry and instead of letting the other refuse he pushed it into his mouth waiting for the other to clamp down before quickly removing his fingers. "Do I ask them in an interview if they drink... how do I even get applicants?"

He grinned assuming it was a joke but soon felt other wise. The tips of his mouth flatten and he took back his hand cleaning it with a napkin. Galvin pushed the rest of the desert aside. He continued rubbing his skin with the sullied white fabric, unsure of what to do with himself.

he watched the charade fall and the real pyce showed his colors. from the corner of his eye he could see their waitress looking worriedly at them and looking over he twitched his head to let her know it was time for the bill. finding the bottle he pushed it towards pyce. "a memento of a meeting cut short," he did not look at the woman and simply signed his name, "i will be there an hour before midnight to see how things are going and to discuss with you the issue of a new bartender." saying no more he stood and left pyce to find his own way home

Galvin nodded and freed himself of his chair with his bottle in hand. He had no more desire for grace and luxuries and simply took a deep swig from the bottle like a common man. He did not realize that his steps had fallen in pace behind the others on his route home.

he did not realize pyce intended to ride home with him until he stopped to wait for the maybach and instead of continuing on the other stopped as well. stiffly he turned and seeing the other take a swig snatched the bottle from his hand. "if you are trying to get a ride it will cost you this." tipping it he took a drink

Galvin did not say anything. The warm liquid had dulled his senses. He felt the bottle being removed from his hand and listlessly moved to his spot in the back seat of the maybach.

he was given no reply and when the car pulled up pyce did little more than crawl in. he felt disgusted by the man's apathy and corking the bottle threw it in after before getting in himself
