i will check this out later

edit: i tried it out. i boosted it to 24fps on single player but on multiplayer its still the same low fps
Default #130
technically your multiplayer fps should be higher than that of singleplayer if you're on a decent server. A lot of the processes are being handled by the server rather than your client so it relieves stress. I can get up to a 40 fps difference on a good server.

im on a good server but there are a lot of things on it... over 600 users... and creations
Default #132
Ah, okay. I can understand a drop in fps there for sure.
Default #133
yeah but there isnt anyone on atm...

I need my computer to work... it says i don't have a good video card...

any thoughts? or do you guys think my computer is hopelessly out of the loop of mine craft?
Default #135
i wouldnt know... i my laptops have intel graphic cards
Default #136
Hopw old would this laptop be? If you're getting an error messaage before you even launch the game properly there's little to no chance that you will be able to play with your hardware D: You probably have onboard graphics or something that isn't meant for gaming.
Also, Minecraft is a surprisingly demanding game.

yea i know i just was wondering if there was any hope, since my boyfriend did a check on the internet saying that it would be able to run it.

It is a inspiron 1501 dell, and about 7 or 8 years old... though I am using vista, not sure if that helps any... and if you want my to post a screen shoot of what i get i could do that as well..

Your specs and a screenshot of the error would help out a lot. but a 7-8 year old laptop has a very limited chance :/
Default #139
there could still be a chance for it to work though...
Default #140
yes, there is. hence limited chance not impossible.
Default #141
i will get it once i get done with food
Default #142
well here is the message... i have to go and figure out how to find the specs... not that computer smart...

Yeah, i had that same error before I upgraded to a new graphics card. Would you know how to go about updating your graphics card drivers?
Default #144
not really, but it's a laptop, so can i even do that? and would it be more worth it to just find a newer laptop?
