Nic shook his head slowly as he sat down.

Laurel tilted her head a little, "Did you eat?" she asked quietly.

Nic's stomach let out small, not so pleasant sounding gurgle. So that's what his face looked like when he had a stomach ache.

Laurel blinked, "Your stomach?" she asked, "Want me to make you some tea?"

Nic shook his head a little again, nausea coming out a little more on his face for a brief moment before disappearing again.

Laurel blinked, "Should I get you a trash can?" she offered, looking a little worried.

Nic shook his head briefly before laying down. "... I'm fine..." he repeated.

"You don't look 'fine'," Laurel retorted before walking off into the bathroom. She returned with a damp cloth which she proceeded to put behind his neck, "So what happened? Did you eat something funny?"

He didn't reply. Nic seemed a little frustrated that he was finding it difficult to keep mind over matter as if that had always worked in the past.

Laurel took the cloth and wiped his face a little, "You're sick," she told him, placing the cloth over his eyes gently, "You're not superman. But I can help, what did you eat?"

Nic still said nothing.

"Nic..." Laurel sighed as she ran a hand through his hair, "I can't help if you don't tell me."

"... I just need to rest," he muttered.

Laurel rolled her eyes, patting his cheek a little, "Of course, but you need to take care of your stomach first," she told him.

Nic looked like he was going to be just as stubborn as ever. But after another moment he said quietly, "... I ate too much."

Laurel had to smother a laugh and didn't entirely succeed. "I know of a tea that helps with that," she replied with a smile as she rubbed his arm a little, "Not that I've ever had that problem."
