I've actually just set up a server on my own PC. it's got 12GB of RAM dedicated to it, so it's a pretty powerful server. the only issue being i don't have a fantastic internet connection, so that will most likely hold it back. especially for anyone outside of the UK.

It's in 'bet'a right now, with unofficial worlds and such. just sort of testing out plugins and getting things sorted. there's a survival world, and an entirely separate creative world. hunger games styled arenas fighting and some basic things like being albe to lock your own chests.

i tried to get on it... but it said end of stream but it might be bc i dont have the recent patch

May be a distance issue as well. where about do you live?

Had a friebd in maryland connect fine without lag

i live in north carolina... it shouldnt be an issue with distance though

Further away you are the worse the connection is, and I don't have the greatest internet in the first place.

well the server showed it had steady connection... i think its bc im on 1.2.5 patch and not the recent ones

you should consider getting Technic launcher, the you can have two different versions of minecraft at once. I use the main client for the most up to date vanilla stuf, then technic launcher to play modded versions.

I believe it's called NetherRack o-o and yes, that's one I figured out the hard way xD

and i also figured that on a server with weather i have the most flammable building :D

seeing as when i was rebuilding it it was struck in the inside .. lucky for me it hit the cobblestone -.o;

it's very unlikely that you will have an issue with lightning causing fires. It's never happened to me before o-o

I built a village out of wood once. After I finished someone told me that lightning can cause fires. That would be very bad.

that's why i like to play on a server with protection >_< got a plugin that will stop certain things, like fire, tnt, creepers in the set area.

Yeah. That's the advantage of playing on PC. I have it on both PC and xbox, but unfortunately the people I play with are only on xbox, so I'm stuck with normal non mod mode.

I don't have the mobile or Xbox version. If i had an xBox i would probably go for it though. i like the older version it's at.

i had it catch a jungle tree on fire before XD i was testing the space needed for my tree farm expansion to include them..
