it felt strange waking on the floor and leaned against the other. yawning he stretched out the pain of sitting in such a way an slowly stood as his wife gathered up his things and stood as well, "....wife, let us sew together again..." he yawned again and turning from his wife left to see what needed to be done

He did not see much of his husband the rest of the evening, the each of them taking care of their own duties and both attending the evening meal before temporarily retiring to their rooms. He spent part of his evening looking over his stitched from the afternoon and found them to be wonderful, and made an attempt to make ones just as marvelous before the remembrance of visiting the Prince came to mind again. Setting aside his hoop and needle he went to venture through the halls.

the lad was late in arriving and though he was wanting he had figured him not to come but before he could think to call for a servant to ready him for bed he heard a knock and found his sweet wife on the other side. ushering him in he closed the door and bullied the lad against it where he left light kisses over the false breasts, "wife, i have been thinking of you since i laid beside you in the library. you have bewitched me"

His laugh was quiet as he allowed for the gentle peppering of kisses that were even gentler to him by fault of fabric padding. "I do not remember casting any a spell, for my magick only seems to work in the darkness of the garden and we have not spent our time among the roses for a few days." Reaching for one of the hands that lead him to the plush bed, he intertwined their fingers, "I would not doubt it if my beauty was enough to entrance you, husband."

"it is dear wife and only your sex assures me you will not bear me bastards should others be captured in your dangerous net." trailing upwards he found the angle of the lad's jaw and kissed that as well, "i know if i saw you passing by i would risk my life to touch you"

A hum escaped his lips at the gentle ministration to the soft joint in his jaw, "You are already risking your life with being with me, not as your wife, but as another man. It makes every touch from you feel that much better and that much more exhilarating."

returning the hum he pressed closer, "i might be but as the prince there are only a few bodies that dare argue your sex. i have no fear"

A sound escaped him with the sensation of the body pressed closer, and despite himself he wanted more of the touches and more of their banter. "And I have all of the fear, but the more time I spend with you the more resistant I become to the opportunities where my secret could be found."

the prideful smile came unbidden though he did not bother to brush it away when it did, "loyalty is honorable and much desirable. i am pleased that i am no longer hated by you, there may be a spring in your garden yet"

He repeated the soft hum that escaped him before as he noticed the smile, "Perhaps, my husband, but in order for there to be bloom in the garden you must plant the bulbs and seeds in the autumn months, or when the time feels right."

"i am no peasant wife, i know nothing of when to plant or what it is i am planting all i know is how to sow the white seed that is my legacy. i am hardly an apt gardener despite my time in gardens"

"I would give you a bit more credit for your knowledge in sowing seeds, but I am afraid you did not understand me. Right now is an opportune for you to use your hoe, husband," he wriggled underneath the weight of the other stretched against him, and spreading his legs apart he allowed for the other's legs to nestle between them

forwardness was not something he would attribute to the other, coy or cold would be more appropriate, obstinate or even cruel if he was feeling bitter but this was a side of the lad he did not know existed and he was not sure how he felt though that did not matter as the thin legs parted and a look he knew only too well from other faces fell over his wife's face. he matched it with one of his own

The next morning he chose to wear one of the richly colored gowns he brought with him after their trip back home, and he spent the time to work with his wig so that he looked as neat as he could manage. Leaving his room, the marquess started down the hall to his husband's room.

he woke in a better mood than he had been since before the trek to the lad's home and it only improved when he was met at the door by the cause of his pleasant mood, uncaring of what was thought of him he kissed the lad sweetly on one thin cheek and taking him by the waist walked with him to chapel

Along with his softly spoken truth to building a resilience to others finding his secret, his skin had not thickened significantly enough to allow for his cheeks to hide the sweet blush that adorned his cheeks at the gentle press of lips, and the smooth hand grazing across his waist to lead him along to chapel. It was not until after the sermon that he thought to speak to his husband, and it came out more as a whisper than anything. "Do you believe others will take our happy attitudes as the possibility I may be with child again?"
