Default What Happens in Vegas... #1
I hope this is in the appropriate spot...but now that I've grabbed your attention, Chesh moved to Vegas!

On Sept. 1st my fiance and I officially moved into our apartment in Las vegas x.x I drove out so it took four days of long long driving hours and stress and 6 ratties in tow! I'm proud of myself for the trip but it's been hard because this is the farthest I've been from my family and for a long amount of time. Now that all the moving junk is done with I'm rejoining trisphee for stalking and whatnot >.>

We left from PA went through, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah, Arizona and then into Nevada! Prior to this I've never been in a car let alone driven for so long in my life :) RL achievement, lol.

I hope I haven't missed too much on Trisphee! And I can't wait to get back into the swing of things. Anybody live close by to me now? ;)

Where at in Vegas? I grew up in North Vegas, it was actually a pretty nice place to live. :)
My Fiancee and I are moving into our first house next week, we've been living in a one bedroom apartment since februray but want to start a family so we found a nice 3 bedroom house for $675 a month. Yay for cheap rural areas. xD

Ooo grats on moving into your first house! :D Right now we're in a one bedroom, it's bigger than I thought it was going to be :) We're in Clark county? If that makes sense..I don't really know my way around here at all yet, my fiance used to live here so he *thankfully* knows this place like the back of his hand.

It's nice to actually know someone who lives in the same state let alone same city! I could barely ever find anyone in PA when I lived there, of course I'm sure now that I don't I'll meet a ton online, lol.

Lol, I live about two hours from vegas now, and I know no one out here. xD
Gongrats to you too. :3 My biggest tip on living in a one bedroom, invest in storage things like metal shelves, plastic drawers, and bookcases lol.
I can't wait to move, After being here for so long it feels cramped, plus it's too dark. We only have two windows an they are tiny. xD

It's not tooo bad in here, today I just found a black widow on the patio.. x.x Not happy about that. I do have a bunch of plastic rubermaid shelf thingers that I've crammed a lot of stuff into. When I stayed with my parents out of college I had to cram a lot of art supplies and stuff into a tiny tiny bedroom. This is much much bigger than I'm used to ^^ of course now it means that I have several rooms now to lose my stuff in instead of just one. :P

Congrats! I remember moving out when I was just barely 18 to Missouri from Oregon. That was a long drive too! You are closer to where I live now (Since I moved back to Oregon) but also closer to the heat. xD

How do you like the place so far?

Darn if I hadn't been so damn distracted I would have made a post about moving before I drove out XD Yea I think it's like 2400 or 2600 miles? But if you include the stops for gas, and lodging and eating it adds quite a chunk on too.. x.x

One of my biggest concerns moving out here was that where I was in PA was in the woods, and there really wasn't much around us. I like the closeness of things, but I really like forest and greenery and in this apartment complex there really isn't too much green. And not too much forest. So far it hasn't been too bad though, the dry heat was killing me though. I was dehydrated before I realized it! I'm used to like 30% humidity, lol.

And two days ago when I went out on the patio to do laundry I found my first black widow. Lol only been here two weeks! Even in PA I had never seen a copperhead or brown recluse. I'm not scared of spiders myself but I kind of worry about one getting into the house and biting one of my ratty babies <3

Now that I have that much driving under my belt I have no problem with driving out to see anybody :D hehehe

I've lived in Oregon all my life. The longest trip I've taken was just a few hours moving from southern Oregon to Eugene then about a year later making the trip back.

I'm currently not too happy about it right now, lol. I've found my fourth black widow now on the patio and it's making me paranoid. I'm not nor have I ever been afraid of spiders but I'm paranoid that one or two or a dozen will get into the apartment and kill my small pets. x.x Because they are so tiny I feel like it would be an instant kill for them and I couldn't stand that.

I haven't found any inside -knock wood- but the washer/dryer is outside on the patio in a closet so...that's the other problem >.< I'm going to need to get spray for sure and make sure they NEVER get into the house...ugh desert.
