Bren was silent for a moment, "Can I talk to him?"

"When he's done," Nic replied.

"... Done?" Bren asked.

"Come in and watch if you want," Nic replied.

Then finally there was a grunt from Fin. "Hey," he complained.

"Focus," Nic reprimanded Fin.

Bren paused before her curiosity got the best of her and she peeked her head inside.

Nic was sitting in a comfortable chair doing something on a pad. Fin was on the floor doing push-ups. Fin glanced to see Bren peek in. Without looking up Nic told Fin, "I told you to focus. Ten more."

"What?!" Fin groaned, turning back to Nic.

"Fifteen," Nic replied simply.

Fin bit his lip to keep from complaining as he continued.

Bren raised her eyebrows as she slipped inside. "What is he doing?" she asked Nic, "Trying to get abs?"

"First, how to do a proper push-up," Nic explained before looking up from the pad and at Fin. "Keep your back straight."

Fin grunted a little from the strain as he tried to flatten his back.

Bren giggled a little, "You don't know how to do a push up?" she asked Fin.

"Not effectively," Nic explained, looking back at the pad again.

Fin didn't look at Bren, trying to focus.

Bren sat on the floor a little away from Fin, "I bet you can do them one-handedly," she said to Nic, "And probably the clap pushups too."

Nic didn't reply, focused on his work.

Bren was silent for a little while before getting up and moving closer to Nic, "I thought you didn't like your brother." she asked quietly and a bit bluntly.

"... I don't 'care' for his company," Nic tried to clarify. Fin grunted a little; he had heard that.

Bren nodded a little, "Well you are like ten years apart," she replied in agreement, "Though you must be enjoying this just a 'tad,'" she chuckled, glancing back at Fin's pushups.

"Hardly," Nic replied as if discipline Fin was a nuisance.
