ah yeah i can see where some of those classes could get boring and such. I think the class that bored me the most was the electronic communication or tele communications god i dunno what the class was even called it had this long drawn out title...

but the class had noting to do with computers in the slightest it was about switchboards, old ones at that and I was like if there is a place still using theses.. i think we're in more trouble then I first thought lol

plus the teacher was impossible to understand he had a thick accent and i was like o_O; what did he say? plus he mumbled ugh... the class only had 7 students to start with (should tell you something when the teacher is like this is the first time in 2 semesters we had enough students to hold the class)

before I dropped it like three others had dropped it so im not sure how far that class got heh

I thought about doing Computer Science or Computer Engineering as a major....decided against it because of all the monotony that there seems to be with all the programming and details.

Pretty much....there are also the people that insist that something must be horribly wrong with their computer's hardware. Open up the case....oh shit, it was only a loose wire. I laugh my ass of at that most of the time. The one time it wasn't the power supply had gotten fried from a power surge during a lightning storm. I would have laughed if it hadn't been my dad's computer and he kinda stole mine to use.....pissed me off a bit. His mistake in not protecting his computer and I suffer....*sigh* end rant.

The only hardware I normally don't mess with is laptops since they are either: A) under warranty and don't want to void it, or B) the manufacturers use some ridiculously stupid screw to hold it together. *rage* Hate it when it's the latter.....so annoying.

I honestly enjoy working with the hardware of a computer, but software is kinda just a, "Oooh...let's see what doing this does!" I'm none too versed and don't see myself ever learning enough to ever do it professionally.

yeah whenever something goes wrong i first check wires.. from there i have a list of what is probably wrong depending on whats going on xP not tat my friends listen to me till 6 months later when they get their pc back from a repair shop lol

Ugh i hate laptops and they are being outdated anyway cause tablets are way faster anymore xP plus they are hard to find parts for ...

i enjoy working on it.. when i want to. I don't see it as being my dream job i like being the person my friends go to but thats about it xP also being female for whatever reason seems to make it very hard to get a job in the department ...

i dunno i never got into the tumblr fad.. but it seems a lot easier to post art up on from what i was seeing.. also i don't have to dumb down my work and censor it if i drew anything D;

I've got a few as well...but if the computer is still working it is pretty easy to run a diagnostic from there instead of prowling around through the "computer guts"...that's just personal preference though. I have no problem digging into it...prefer to have a ground though so I don't accidentally fry something or damage it with a stray shock of static electricity.

Well....laptops as a whole are being replaced, but I wouldn't say outdated in terms of versatility and ability to utilize programs. I'd say in terms of day to day usage they are being replaced by tablets for sure.

Yeah....it would seem that most people assume females can't do anything within the realm of the mechanical or electrical. No idea why (some of my female friends have been awesome at working on mechanical stuff like cars or with computers and such) other than people not looking at the modern day.

I've never had a tumblr and don't think I will, but I certainly enjoy looking through some of them.

eh its just price wise laptops aren't worth it. To get one even remotely close to being half as decent as my desktop it'd cost two or three times my desktop xD.... it sucks .. cause i have a laptop but it hardly handles normal programs let alone extra things.

Tumblr is great for art, it takes seconds to upload, you can upload porn (just mark your tumblr as NSFW so it doesn't get deleted) and THE SKY'S THE LIMIT
BUt it's great for art in general too cos it's just fast and easy to upload
