Matches are next on my list -- scared of those as well. Also, this lighter seems to be a bit glitchy -- I can send sparks flying, alright, but the lighter gas refuses to come out so while I get pretty fireworks, I rarely manage to get a steady flame.

I have trouble coordinating my thumb with the roll switch on most lighters. Unless its a press one. So I can usually strike matches faster then I can work a lighter. >.> They hurt my fingers.

Oh I have a box, not a match book. So I can use the outside of the box with the rest being in a safe location.

It took me a while to figure out how much force to use though. When I was younger, I kept worrying that if I used too much force I'd break the wooden stick. >_>

Hm. I should invest in one of those.

Finding a not-electric lighter was a pain in the ass. The cashier ended up giving me one of his because the general store on campus somehow didn't have them...
