Yup that's me, and when midterms hit it's like "F--- I HAVE TO REMEMBER EVERYTHING AGAIN."

My problem is that if I can't find a way to make anything I learn in school apply to my life in someway, I won't remember it.

When I took history classes, I had to doodle things somewhat related to the lecture with scribbled dates next to them rather than taking real notes in order to remember anything. And then one day I was asked by my teacher to let another student take photocopies of my notes because I was "such a good student" and the girl had a legitimate reason for needing notes taken for her, I just don't remember what it was. I got self-conscious of my doodles and started sucking at that class.
