Im making a cosplay of this guy, and it's not rally all that bad, but...they're weirdly placed. I've been puzzling over how to put it together, but I think I've finally figured it out.

(The cloak is already made, so most of the hard stuff is handled)

Also...is it bad that I recognized that character as a "Tales of" series character just by the general artwork and clothing style?

Not really. Tales games have a rather recognizable art style. That's Sorey from Tales of Zestiria. He's the main protagonist.

I am so far behind in those games...because I don't have any money for a game system and games. But one of my friends is as big of a Tales of fan as I am, so once in a while I get to play. I have finished Symphonia, Abyss, and I think also Xperia...but I'm not 100% sure on that one and then I've started 2 others, but I forget which ones they were.

Looks like an interesting protagonist. The feathered earrings are an interesting touch...

Sorey is kind of a good, and definitely likes feathers. Hehe.

Vesperia is my favorite Tales game, but I really like Zestiria.

i got dragon quest heroes, so far it is a pretty boring game imo and I have not been able to get very far.

That isn't weird strap usage at all. It seems like it is made to hold clothing pieces together so you have the straps going from one part to the other. The round the arm and wrist one have independent length straps that are just double holes. Looks so be the same with the legs. So sew them down to the fabric and the buckles are done long ways with a strap so you can pull them off and on.
Lazy option is to pre make them and use snaps to keep them in place that is a function over form thing thought for easy cosplay removal.

Ya i hate having to Trisphee on my phone, I admire everyone who is very good at it.

I can't type well on my phone.. if i need to discord using it, I'd rather do it via voice chat.. o3o

Yeah...Trisphee is not really mobile friendly at the moment for sure.
But my phone is my only way to access it currently.

if i wanted to make an event that i was hoping might get site-wide participation, where could i make such a thread?

...and this is something regular users can do, right? there was an event on a former forum that i participated in that i thought i could give it a try and run it here - it could be fun (or it could be a bust)
