ROFLMAO! no no....my cats have their claws too. the pad goes in a tray under the pellet area.


(not my pic, but that shows the litter box with the pad in place but no litter pellets inside yet)

but then you just pull out the tray, dump the wet pad and put a new one down and slide the tray back in. simple simple. then you just scoop the poop out. the pellets for the most part don't stick to it, thus saving the litter. xD

Sorry you've been having problems with your mom, DK. It can be hard to find meds to manage bipolar. But I'm really glad you've got the finances under control now. Congrats.

All that talk of cat litter - I've been hearing about that special cat litter and box. Nice to see a picture of it. I'll probably stay with the stuff we use, but now I can visualize what people are talking about.

Does she have a good doctor who can monitor her meds? If the mania is under control, the excessive spending usually is too.

She has a doctor who gives her meds.. and she see's a counselor who keeps the doc updated.. but i don't think the counselor is doing her job >:x

I had brought up the spending to her counselor once before.. but it was turned around on me like it was my fault.. once when mom was on oxygen.. the tank had something wrong with it.. 'I' was blamed for it >->

she does that which is why I chose a different counselor .. that and I don't want a conflict of interest when it comes to mom and my mental care.. some people just suck at their job.

Good that you have a different counselor. It's important that you feel comfortable with whomever you work.

Wonders how good your mom is at giving accurate accounts of situations. Counselors can only work with what they're given and there are a lot of people out there who embellish, tweak or outright lie about stuff. Makes it hard on a counselor to get a good read on a situation that way.

My counselor and her counselor had us do a group session..

Only my counselor listened to what I said along with what mom said. Mom's counselor only listened to mom's half.. ignored me ._. it was a failed session

Group sessions like that are rare. That's unfortunate that it didn't work out for you.
