Does it have to do with rolling your Rs? If you're used to it, it can be weird when it's not rolled? I still don't know how to do it properly.

I doubt it. It's one of those words that gets pronounced differently depending on the dialect. But everyone prefers to assume their way is the right way. But since it's the state tree, our way is more correct.

Uhh, hmm. Pee-cahn might be the accepted way but I say it more like peh-cahn. Or maybe I switch between the two. Like caramel. I say both care-uh-mel and car-mull.
