I know I've had some things made with bean paste and I've liked it, but not really sure what it was. It was a more of a doughy roll filled with it.

omg was it....what's that called...Daifuku?? I think....The dough was mochi? I've always wanted to try it!

It was a wheat based dough. Actually, I might have tried both. But there definitely was also a wheat one.

They are rather intricate, and pretty. :] Maybe I'll try one once they come back into the holiday season. ^-^ I have a couple Asian bakeries around where I live. Ah, has anyone heard of 85°?? :D

ok so you didn't know what it was and were asking if someone could explain it? i must confess i am more than a little confused as to why you are asking
Default #42
Nonono, I knew what it was. :D I been there.
Just didn't know how many of their bakeries there were and where. :/
I thought they had more locations than that tho. Aw.. :c So unless u live/been in Cali, Texas, or Warshington, you might not know the bakery.

i took a holiday to california but that state is bigger than many countries so it is a little much to ask x''D
Default #44
Hence the "might not know". <x'} It's okay! It's a good bakery if you're fond of lightly sweet goodies and some Asian pastries. :] It's where we get all our cakes now.

<w< Check it. California is pretty flippin' huge. That's Great Britain right there.

Ohh, I could go to the Texas locations. What is it like? There are a lot of Asian bakeries here, but many use their native language and are hard to look up.

I left the page open too long and now just saw your response on what it was like.

I found some photos for my location, it looks like the ones where you grab a tray and fill it with what you want. The Mexican bakeries/panaderÃ*as do that also.
Default #47
that's so funny, because there's a bakery here called 89 degrees xD
Default #48
That's actually an interesting name for a bakery. I wonder what's the story behind it lol
