"...You mean like...for real?" Mihael blinked. "He sounds like a nut!"

The albino frowned. "No, not for real... I was making a joke..."

Mihael blinked.

"...You mean...the whole thing or just the Kira thing?" Mihael asked.

"...The Kira thing," Nate deadpanned.

"But you delivered it seriously." Mihael blinked.

"Its called 'sarcasm'," Nate commented, rolling his eyes.

"He said, stating the obvious." Mihael frowned- looking put-off.

Nate frowned back, looking a little tense.

There was this awkward silence that carried on longer and longer as they stared at each other, dislike and anger between them.

It was almost as if they were their characters, though Nate wasn't sure if the sexual tension he was feeling was one sided.

"...You need to talk with someone about this contract thing." Mihael finally broke the silence and broke the eye contact. "Otherwise he'll just run you for all you're good for."

"Talk to who?" Nate mumbled, dragging his own eyes away as well. "He'd probably pay them off and the only person on my side is Mail. Probably because he thinks he'll get laid."

"Well, I'm on your side." Mihael replied firmly.

Looking surprised, Nate turned to look back at the blonde. "W-what...?"

"I said, I'm right behind you." Mihael nodded.

"...Why?" Nate asked, eying the blonde.

"Because it's wrong!" Mihael burst. "Someone's taking advantage of you!"

"Um... so?" Nate offered, lifting an eyebrow. "You barely know me."
