Yeah, and the weird thing was I had no idea why they were attacking me. I must have said something particularly controversial/stupid in the forums.

They just found roundabout ways to insult me. Like, I made it pretty obvious I was a fan of David Bowie, the Beatles, John Lennon, etc. and one day I just saw things like "The Beatles Suck" and "David Bowie is Gay" in peoples' signatures - things that did their part to insult me properly, but were by no means illegal or insulting to anyone else - and I asked people about it and their replies were pretty much "Fuck off." So I did, and I quit, and I haven't gone back. :C

You didn't report them? :/ It would have been pretty obvious to me. It's not allowed to call any person "gay" in a negative manner member or not. I know in fact if you would have reported it someone would have taken care of it. Or I am pretty sure at least. I hate it when people think they can say shit about celebrities just becuase they think they wont know. Okay some of them deserve it but most of the time people do it just to piss off people who DO like them.

I probably should have reported them, but in all honesty, the friends I had on Solia had left, the avatars and items no longer really impressed me, and Trisphee was starting up, so I had no reason to stay and figured just leaving would be simpler. Maybe I should have reported them as one final "take that", but I don't consider myself vindictive enough... Within the "flight or fight" theory of confrontation, I have a tendency toward "flight".

You should have reported them. :B Believe me, if they get a juicy warning maybe even ban they'd shut the hell up. :/ I still like Solia's avatars though, I think they are worth coming back for. And their items have gotten better lately. I actually rather be on Solia than Roliana I once used to love and be on everyday. They have cute stuff but nothing ever gets worth that much, there's no value in the items and you can't quest cause there nothing that expensive. But what really made me get on less was the invasion of snotty brats. People think they are so smart and tell people how they are supposed to think, reply and if you don't they'll bitch. Happened to be 4 times now in a short time.

I'm going to try and do my best to keep people from hurting each other here on Trisphee. There's really no need to use (hurtful) sarcasm, insults, etc. in a community like this. It's supposed to be a place that's fun, welcoming, helpful, a good way to make friends and kill time and discuss some issues. Sometimes I think people take online communities too seriously, or not seriously enough. They either think that they have to be the most elite/bestest/most famous/popular/number one player in the whole site (like that sort of thing even exists) and anyone who says otherwise is beneath them, or they don't take being online seriously at all and don't realize that the little bundle of pixels they're talking to is actually a real person with real feelings that can really be hurt, regardless of whether or not they're speaking to you face to face.

I think if people would just remember that they're not talking to an empty void of cyberspace with automated robot-creatures, they're actually talking to people, internet communities would be a much better place. :/

I shall not put all youngsters in the same box but I think usually it's a problem with the younger kids. They may not understand yet that the planets does not spin around them. They think they are the sun. They think being famous on the internet is cool. That's what kids talk about in school these days. They easily forget that not everyone on the internet are 11-16. They do a lot more bad things cause they think no parents or teachers will find out. Hopefully though most of them get over it when they have to study more and work. :B They get better things to do. I was also pretty shitty when I was 13. I thought it was funny flaming people online. I just saw Gaia avatars.
