seriously. he said he had been looking for an opportunity to ask for my number the past few weeks. but I sit within close talking-range of him in lab every week (to the right and back one is real easy, especially when he's in a leftie desk and I'm in a rightie desk. we basically face each other) and I also sat behind him in lecture one day when class ended up being canceled. he knew I was there and we said hi before our TA told us we could leave...that would have been a great opportunity to talk to me for an hour. but nope. apparently those aren't good phone number getting opportunities.

um, his name is Scott Konopasek, he's in my media writing class, he's going into advertising (and I think ad design). he's a bit taller than me (it's hard to tell since he broke his leg a few weeks ago and gets to use one of those little scooter-things). he has short brown hair and wears glasses. he totally looks like a city boy hipster child; just how I like them! he's from California, but he lived in Everett for a while.
on Facebook there's surprisingly little public information. his profile picture is an amateur photoshopping job, and all I can tell he's 23, works custodial on campus, and he's studying Portuguese, so I'm assuming he went somewhere Portuguese-speaking on his mission.
the exact thing he said to me was

usually I ignore blackboard emails until I'm bored enough to read them, because it's mostly TAs trying to tell me things I don't care about, like office hours. so in my typography class I was finally bored enough to open the email and wasn't quite expecting to see something like that. XD
