Why do all news sites load so slowly on my computer?

I have no idea...sites always load fast for me.

The only thing that loads slowly for me is the avatar system. ><

Mine.. usually goes okay >3> *has 15 tabs open, 8 are her Knuffels* Not lagging right now.. I get random tiny bouts of lag.. but still.

I don't like any browser other than Firefox.

They're too simplified. I actually like having things like the URL bar and tabs and bookmarks taking up space at the top.

Well yeah when I edit an avatar it takes a while to show on here.. e_e but that's it.. other's avvis load fine for me.. it's only that which has a delay.

The avatar system is a pretty hefty chunk of coding.

Thinking that it'll be speedy this early in the site's development is hoping for too much.

On another note:

I'm playing a quest on Kingdom of Knuffel, and I have totally forgotten what item I'm supposed to be looking for. It's for the quest for the lady who's making perfume...

I find the quests really confusing...

If you go to the alchemist you can ask him what you need.. if it's any items I have I can give you some..
(I'm doing the repair the girl's throat so she can have a voice one.. the lozenge one) right now e_e and it's gonna take forever.

They need to have a "you are currently seeking: ___" thing. If you go back to the person you're questing for, she just says "Did you find it yet?" That doesn't help me at all.

Also, there's some unfortunate irony in the fact that, when my pop-up quest thing was broken, I got about ten windows within an hour that I could do nothing with. Now that it's working, I've gotten three since last night and all this morning, and I've just been refreshing forum pages the entire time. What the hell.
