Poggio, if anyone registers under the age of 13 it auto bans them until they are of 13 years or older. This doesn't prevent people lying about it but that's why users are free to report when someone says they are 12, or 11 etc.

For the referral thing....why not have something like Crys had, where everytime someone used a referral link of yours, it got you some odd number of points, and when you got so many points, you could get special items? I mean, I HATE that system, cause some people <That will not be named> just spammed everywhere and got hundreds of spammy users, but still ^^;

Not what I meant by an incentive for referals. That's the lame way of getting referals. That's no different from the contest. You need people to actually be driven to promote the site. For that you need to make it a big event with a very big prize.

Like... a whole story about why we need people, etc., etc. I dunno, I'm not a one-man-event-planner, but...that's actually a good idea.

and a benefit to the referred. Like, maybe a special item, and a bit of currency, ya know?

Now your thinking, and instead of a monthly set. Why not an amazing item that will be given out to the number one winner? And you will keep giving out that same item every month? And make a rule that you can only win it once.
It would be rare but everyone would want it and it would be given out forever.

I suppose I could start a debate thread about it. But I am not sure about that one rare item. It would take forever to get into the market and that could really upset users.

Or give out a kind of trophy for it, and then make two one-pose items every month, and you can either turn the trophy in for one of those and ten runes, or wait til next month? I dunno, just throwing out ideas.

Easy enough - make the trophy item then a yearly the next year XD

A debate thread is good, get user input on this.
A trophy item would be perfect. Think Gaia fishing, of course it's rare but you can always get it. And it's not super amazing but it's a small personal glory for the person. To have achieve and win it.
Plus you can always have fun with the idea also. Like make the trophy a cute monster or even censor it for having inappropriate parts ;D
