i guess, though it's nerveracking to think of what kind of power that is, desiding who can and cannot be a part of it that is

nerve wracking? Perhaps it can be when picking someone new. But if you search for friends you talk with often. Someone you have a natural rhythm with then just post that it's a 'friends roleplay' then it should be a lot more comfortable.
My problem is my friends all have a lot less time now. All our roleplays are on hold. including the Great Draithe Hunt -sigh-

but knowing someone perfectly usable cannot be a part even if they wanted to because you are excluding them? isn't that hard

I've not met many like that actually. When I was an admin on a different roleplaying board a few years ago everyone played. And the whole board was dedicated to that one roleplaying world so people who clicked kinda moved off into different parts of that world.
I've never had to turn people away like that. Even now it's more like I've got ideas but I'm more looking to partner with one or two people rather than recruit.

Well I should get some sleep.
