That's the period of Imperial indoctrination, the span of 30 years, starting in the late 1910's, towards combining Western ideals with Imperial ideals, a return to a patriarch society, and the reinvention of Bushido under Imperial idealism (Bastardizing it). It's also the period where we see how racist the Imperial Japanese were.
