She's a 12 year old tortoiseshell cat.
I've had her since I was 9, and I'm 20 now.
They have a thing called Tortitude.
Lots of personality in that "breed", though it's really just her coat that gives her that name.
She's chatty, and always looking for attention.

Well I know what a leek is and I know what spinning a leek would ordinarily mean. I just wasn't sure what purpose one would have for spinning a leek, much less for half an hour. I thought it might be some hoity toity chief thing like hammering an eel head to a cutting board so you can skin it, or tossing noodles so they don't tangle.

Oh I wasn't thinking about how you'd interpret the spinning leek, Ari. I figured there was something you had in mind. That was honestly my initial reaction. My dad and sister in law are both big on cooking, and in college we watched almost nothing but the Food network since we only had basic cable. It's a default channel now. The eel trick I picked up from Top Chef and the noodle thing from a show Alton was doing on Soba.
