I still can't get used to the idea of renting movies from libraries. Especially DVDs xD;

Pshh. XD You should try it sometime. Good, easy, free movie rentals~ (mostly, unless you want quickpicks, which are 1$. Which not all libraries might have I guess)
But yeah. They have some pretty recent movie's Ive been able to watch for free. XD The new Iron man, Ice Age 3, Monsters Uni, Frozen, etc. x3

Oddly enough, the libraries locally for me are highly limited to the public.
Everyone uses McKay's Book Store instead (Resells books, used DVD's, and old games/game stations.)

Sup? I'm working on a paper. I've realized I could have written a dang 10 page biography on Confucius himself instead of having a section on him in my paper on Confucianism.

Highly limited? That's not right. :c Libraries should be places for learning and reading and stuff. What kind of libraries do you have near you. /:

Essentially, the libraries are only open about 5 hours on certain days...and the time is like 10 am to 3 pm...when most people are at work/school.
And monthly payment for membership/the right to use the Library at those times.

Ah./: I think there was talk about the libraries here doing something similar in regards to the timeframe but I don't know if that ever went through or not. Might have been too many people complaining. XD

Hmm that sucks. :c You don't have to pay for membership here. Only thing you pay for is if the movie is more new and in quick picks you pay 1$ for the rental. XD

@Vincent: I might, except I did buy 3 digital books on my phone x3 (technically more if you count all of the Game of Thrones).

I dunno if the library has any digital stuff. I'd imagien they wouldn't, seeing as it'd be hard to configure returns and late fees or whatever o.0

Actually, many libraries do have digital material, restricted to paying customers (or college students)

Well in case of digital material it makes more sense for exclusive membership package if it is a reasonable one actually.

I never really go to the digital stuff for libraries seeing as I couldn't make use of it anyway so I wouldn't know. XD

I am somewhat the same there. I don't really use the digital stuff in libraries (even if I could)...
I am however doing so online (digital library with some mixed media)
