Yep, people with Asperger's.

Well we can be nice but many have a hard time with sarcasm, humor and pessimism.
Most of use have a much lower empathy and sympathy.
Aspergers main symptoms are social impairments so it isn't really correct to say we are all nice people, we have to try much harder than the normal person to be that. Many of the social actions we do we have to mimic and actively remember because that automation other people have don't really work for us.

Yeah, had a friend describe that to me once. I can definitely understand that, but it's extremely difficult to fully relate because, as an empath, I tend to automatically read people and have very little trouble doing so. (This often leads to awkward situations.)

Hm...Maybe it's more accurate to say that, because you go the extra length to not seem like a dick, that you're less...offending than lots of people without Asperger's? ...Urgh, I'm not very good with actual words. Like...since you actually consciously need to put in effort, you tend to not take things for granted, and that results in not being callous on a regular basis as compared to some people with really brash personalities.

Well there are often one or two people that don't like me.
Most often trolls, they hate me as i go all logical on their comments.
Or some people with more grating personalities.
Thankfully on the bigger sites they could avoid me and i them.
Even more thankfully no one here as expressed a dislike of me yet.

well, there's always mean people who will dislike you for whatever reason, doesn't mean you aren't nice.

Had a friend back in high school who, for the first couple years, seemed to just really dislike me.

I should probably have prefaced that with the fact that high school was where I learned a lot about how to actually talk to strangers. I suppose I might seem relatively outgoing now (moreso in real life), but pre-HS Espy was timid as all fuck. It took me a lot of time to warm up to people, even old friends who I hadn't seen in a while, and I had a huge fear of talking to peers who were just a year or two older than me.

But yeah, uh. So my mode of operation was more or less the two extremes -- usually quiet and shy, and then blunt and kind of...excessive/flamboyant on rare occasions. I think my friend's first impression of me was the excessive/flamboyant side, and, being a really cautious, logical, restrained person, she and I just really started off on the wrong foot.

...And then there are other people who just couldn't deal with the fact that I generally don't mince my words. -shrug-

Seems to always be people who want to find any excuse possible to dislike you.

I still don't know how to talk to strangers, at least in real life. o.o
