...actually, not sure what my Christmas plans are this year, but am REALLY hoping my dad doesn't force me to spend time at his place this year. Since I can't afford a car yet, it's kind of a pain for him and/or my brother to pick me up, plus this year, I'll probably work the day after, so they'd have to drive an hour to pick me up, only to have to drive me home again a few hours later. And if the roads are bad, it's even more of a pain for them.
*crosses fingers that I can have the holiday to myself*

I feel kind of bad saying I don't want to be around family for the holidays, bit I just never really felt that close with any of them. So I would just rather be on my own or with the "family" I choose for myself.

it's what motivates me to go to the family meeting every year. Food and gifts.

They don't really. My dad usually does an Amazon gift card, but you get that even if you don't attend. And my brother (as evidenced by the last 2 years) gets you something at the last minute. And he doesn't really know me that well. Two years ago, it was mint cocoa. I hate mint. Last year it was giant Reeses cups. I do love them, but have been trying to not eat sugary stuff very much.

...and that's literally all I get.

Aw, that's... not ideal. Better to stay at home and to things your own way then ^^
