Yep! Hopefully I can get away with it. Sobfar, I've been trying to spend Christmas on my own for about 6 years. Haven't succeeded yet. I live too close.

I saw my dad's side this past Christmas for the first time in about 8 years. It was really nice.

I mean, my dad is emotionally abusive, my brother is okay, but kind of clueless, my sister seems to want nothing to do with any of her family, my aunts barely know me, and my cousins ignored me until about the time I was in the 20-25 age range, and even then we only talk briefly at the occasional major family functions (funerals, weddings, or Christmas).

She kind of is, in that even when she's in the state, she barely spends time with our family, but will spend weeks with her boyfriend's family. But honestly, I can kind of understand, since I'm not suler close with our family either.
And she and I actually never talk, which is maybe a little sad, but she always is one-upping me anyway, so that's fine really.
