Aw, that is sad to hear.

I know my friends in HS got to be real bitchy cause I started hanging back around with a friend from Elementary whom they hated.
I honestly don't know what to tell you, it sucks when a friend is suffering from depression and all and you know you can't turn your back on them. Maybe you could ask them to have a cease of fire and arrange to do stuff where both Amy and Jess can get to know each other a bit better. It's the only option I can think of and even if they don't, than you tried.

I think the only time my one friend was allowed in the group was during an event and I had invited her to join us. Since it was my blanket, my other friends had to accept her. Only reason they didn't like her was cause of stuff other people said which wasn't fair.
I would suggest trying to throw a sleep over with both of them.. throw on a scary movie and pretty much they will have to get along or else be tangled up in the blankets all night.
