I just read a thing yesterday on "11 things we do that dogs hate."

I tested them all out on my dog and she had zero of the behaviors the list said they would have to show hate.

My dog is special <3

Like hugs --- it said dogs hate hugs because it is a dominance thing for them. It stated that they may tense up, pin their ears back, lick their lips nervously or look away from you. My dog licked my cheek a bunch and put her head on my chest XD it was pretty darn sweet. It also said they don't like having their head pet. Duchess just started furiously swiping her paw over her head when i patted her and then ramming her head into my hand when i stopped. Dogs are weird.

and will force their head into my hands so I will pet them....

Maybe it's meant as big dogs? That hugging thing applies more to my mom's dog...though he does like to rub up on you like a cat.

And yeah...though my mom knows more, I like learning herbal and farming methods. (Actually like learning most things)

I had something to say about big dogs but I am not quite sure it counts since dogs treat children different than adults.
My dogs are about 60 lbs each though aren't that big XD

...over 100 lbs.
And many animals don't see children as a threat. (It may just be that he sees everything as a threat...and mom is just the one who saved him/disciplines him most)

maybe because my dog is only 13 pounds and she feels she must be touching me at all times.

I can't go anywhere without her sitting as close to me as possible. At night she clambers under the blankets and sleeps curled up against my belly or behind my knees

Spent this morning from 750 till 1120 with a friend while they put their dog down because some asshole hit him on the side of the road

The dog stayed with us for a month and has been playing with my dogs since they were puppies, it was pretty hard to see my friend the way he is right now.
It made me worry about my dogs even more T.T

oh no that is just awful, i'm sorry that happened. :(

My worst fear is duchess getting out and getting hurt. She just bolts for it whenever she gets out of the front door. I'll chase after her shouting her name and she'll stop and look at me then keep running. I've chased her in huge circles around houses before. Uggg

My microbiology teacher announced that he had to put his dog down on Monday and it gave me secondhand sadness for the rest of the day :( :(
