That's one reason I rarely ever watch anything dubbed. I'll just sit there going "KI-yo!? His name is KYO. ... OMFG Her name is not KuhGOOruh it's Kagura omfg." I twitch every time they pronounce the names even slightly American-ized ewo;; ... Because I'm weird.

Please use "he"/"him" or "they"/"them" pronouns when referring to me please <3
*shudders* Never watching Fruits Basket dubbed... EVER. It's just not a good idea. DX They also pick really weird voices for the characters too. It's why I can't watch Elfen Lied dubbed.
But, if I'm the only one left standing,
I will not be afraid to fight.
I'm breaking out of here tonight.
Don't even get me started on car names. Mitsubishi, Toyota, Honda, Hyundai, Nissan, Subaru, guh. HYUNDAI. In Japanese it would be pronounced "hyu-n-dah-ee" ... Here in 'murrka it is pronounced "hon-day" ..... I can not sit through a Hyundai commercial without twitching ewo;;

Haha and words we've American-ized like "karaoke," "kamikaze," "karate," "ninja," "samurai," etc. None of them are pronounced the same as the Japanese pronunciation. Some are close, but the American "karaoke" just baffles me XD
