someone stole a commision i drew once, pissed me right the hell off, it was paid for already and everything, they said it was mine but didn't ask me or the owner to use, came across it on accident v.........v golly i was so fucking upset and parinoid. locked my photobucket and put legal stickers on everything for a long while

recently had my work stolen again, they didn't even credit and worse, modified it enough that the moderators couldn't side with either party and let the whole thing drop

Chocobo: It's happened to me too ( someone even pretended to be me on a random site and was destroying my reputation too, actually ) so I know the feel Dx
I have my photobucket in the same way, with every album password protected and everything. Only reason I'm on DA is because it's the only site my family checks ( and they like to see my progress; something they do to keep slightly in touch with me ) and I've got enough people to back me up that it wont be such a huge problem if something happens. @__@
( and the 29874298 signatures I hide in my drawings lolol )
I also keep a paranoid stock up of all my .sai versions with all the layers as proof. xD

Flat generally means without shading. Because shading is meant to make things seem 3D, art without it looks flat.
