I agree like on the Grudge movie the kid makes drowning sounds so I think your thoughts are believable

But
Would a ghost that drowned enjoy showers?
Would all water traumatize them or just lakes/pools/sinks/whatever they drowned in?
-envisions a comic serious about supernatural roommates where the ghost gets yelled at to always clean themselves up because they are scared of all water and will do nothing that pertains to using it-

Alternately the one that died in a house fire would avoid the kitchen like crazy and turn off the heat in winter.

It really depends, I suppose, on how they felt about water after that. Perhaps their death wasn't as traumatic for them, or they've had time to work through it, so they're starting to get okay with it. On the other hand, maybe they really hate it, but realize they have to deal with it on occasion.
