And have a nice case of what I would like to call "how did I burn my legs in the cold?!"

Because cold burns? You get frost bite or something?

I touched something metal that was super cold once and it burnt my hand.
It hurt so much.

I looked up cold urt-something-or-other on Wikipedia. It's apparently an allergic reaction of some sort. If the anti-histamines work, then you know that's likely what it is.
