Derpy got some tasty mini cupcakes even though they dried out a bit since my work schedule being hectic forced me to make them a couple days in advance.

Never use the Premier Pipsqueak yarn cakes for stuffed animals. Ever. It is soft and fuzzy, which is nice, but the process of tightening the cast on rows and stitching up parts causes the soft fuzz to pretty much disintegrate. Not good.

Will finish off the dragon and hippo thay I started with them, then never use it for anything other than MAYBE adult/child scarves. The shedding aspect makes me hesitant to actually use this yarn for baby items, despite the soft pastels and yarn name implying that to be it's intended use.

So I fucked up. The "perfect" polyclay I got for a project? Nope. It's not meant to be baked. It melts at 150F.

what happened was I thought it was meant to be baked at 150f, but when I went to open the package to start sculpting, I re-read the information panel and found my error. I'll take it back to the store on Friday, and exchange it.

no kidding. I'm a bit bummed because it's the perfect shade for the character I want to make a doll of. but I'll use what I get back from it and what I get for cans to get something else I need instead. I'll save up for good clay to make the doll at a later date.

I tried to take a vote, but no one voted, so I went with both of the (official) suggested themes. Although we also have thr unofficial theme of "Derpy's birthday". So if you wanna make a (belated) present for everyone's favorite cuddly baby dragon, that's always an option too...
