Yea.... most awkward thing of the year.... our parents are best of friends.... if i ever told my brothers they would be pissed off at him.... and never want to talk to him... and would basically want to kill him....

It's understandable.
When I broke up with my boyfriend due to an awful argument the first thing that my older brother asked was if I was OK and who did it. When I said I broke up and that I would be alright he was like "OK, good."

And yeah, that is awkward.
Try to not be in the house when they come over.
If you have a dog take him/her for a walk or go out or if you know ahead of time make plans with a friend.
