Hm, so it must not be after clam chowder...

Maybe it just has peculiar tastes in soup? It did both like the clam chowder and corn chowder...

I'm told they are tasty, but I am not a scallop person and do not know.

...Whoops. I didn't even notice clam chowder was already a thing.

As I asked the beast its opinion about bacon wrapped scallops, it grunts loudly. Unfortunately I don't know what it said, but I can report it ate all of them.

*timidly feeds the beast some succulent georgia peaches*

No idea how succulent georgia peaches vary from regular peaches, but maybe the beast can tell us after it finishes eating them. Well, at least if someone understands its grunts. I still don't.

*reverentially places a platter of corn and bacon sandwiches before the beast, and backs away, still bowing and scraping*

The beast sure seems delighted about your offer and eats corn and bacon sandwiches with great appetite.

I offer the beast some Blueberry Muffins for breakfast

The beast looks reasonably delighted. It's obviously snack attack time, because within mere minutes there's nothing left of blueberry muffins, bacon lettuce tomato sandwich, bacon butter pancakes, fancy grilled cheese sandwich, thin mint cookies and white chocolate chip cookies. Then it trods away to rest, but who knows how soon it'll get hungry again?
