Have you guys seen the Kanto starter evolutions?! I don't like Blastoise's. D8 But still, the new trailer they released where it shows how the trainer gets them to Mega Evolve looks cool. xD

Really, I love Blastoise's! TRIPLE CANNON!I think Venusaur's could be better though. The trailer was super cool. And now I'm definitely betting every region's starter gets a mega evolution, since the Kanto ones and Blaziken have them. I wonder if tons of pokemon will have them.

GameFreak is really trying to keep me from choosing a Fennekin as my starter Pokemon.... A free Speed Boost Torchic, and a choice between the 3 Kanto starters... UUUGGGGHHHHH. DAMMIT GAMEFREAK I MIGHT JUST BUY POKEMON Y! X.X.

Don't worry, he'll be Fire/Fighting anyway. :P

It's going to be a Fire/Psychic, one of the leaker's confirmed that the secondary typings of the starters would be Grass/Dark, Water/Fighting, and Fire/Psychic respectively. (Same person who revealed some early X and Y details.)
That and I wouldn't find it too surprising regardless because Gamefreak tried experimenting with Dark/Fighting/Psychic pokemon as starters during the (I want to say 3rd gen...) 4th gen.

But seriously the game is out in a month and we still haven't seen the Starter's final evolution yet. IT'S BOTHERING THE F**K OUT OF ME!

I saw it and if there hadn't already been a Mega Evolution of Absol announced I probably would have thought it was some sort of Absol evolution. xD

Have they confirmed if you're getting the Kanto starter at the beginning or some time later in the game?

This info was leaked months ago by the Pokebeach leaker, and he didn't clarify then either. So it's unknown when Sycamore will give you the starters. My guess is probably after you beat the game.
Also if you want some extra delicious leak news, that leaker also told us that your more friendly rival will give you their fully evolved Pokemon. My guess is that if it's the more friendly rival is that their Pokemon is the starter Pokemon that is weakest to yours. (You started with Fennekin, they give you a fully evolved Chespin at end game.) So it's something else to think about when choosing your starter. I might just pick Froakie so I can also get Fennekin's final evolution and then just breed them.

I ALWAYS start with the water starter on every game... but Fennekin is so freaking cute, there's no way I can NOT pick it. 8D

I always pick the water starter, but I think Chespin is adorable. I usually HATE grass types, but I think he's so cute!

I'm not a fan of fire types in general for some reason. Maybe because I usually have a flying type, and that covers almost all of fire's advantages.
