I might have to hunt down a copy of it/them to read...
That's a big question as far as Memories of Ice. It's a fantasy novel by Steven Erikson, the third book in the Malazan, Book of the Fallen series. (Suze got me onto it, and chews me out that I'm taking so long with it.) I've only read the first and this, and I'm going to go back to the second on that I skipped once I'm done here. There's...a lot going on. It's awesome though. Suze wrote a big spiel in the "101 Books" thread that says more about it.

An Imaginary Life is by David Malouf, and is about the Roman poet Ovid in exile and living with barbarians. It's also hard to explain. I'd maybe think of it as something of an illustrated philosophy rather than a narrative story.

Have some series cover art!

How did you like Devil in the White City?
It is still pretty popular, so I'm thinking its really good?
Default #310
It got a bit dry in a few parts, but was pretty good. I liked the writing style.

Erikson is easy enough to find. Malouf has a few books, but I picked up "An Imaginary Life" from a used store. Not sure what would show up in a regular store.

Well, if all else fails, I can probably hunt them down online.

@Kad

Yeah NF gets dry at some points. Talk about dry: I've been reading The Source Field Investigation since last September. It gets really dry and I just put it down. I've picked it up again.

I want to read H is for Hawk, it is supposed to be very good.

Was looking at my bookshelf last night and spotted some books I forgot I had. They don't fit my challenge categories though, alas!

Can we link my post to the front page? I think it's on page 15, I'll double check. It's getting hard to find. :P

EDIT:
Right here!

@Quiet: sorry about that, I missed your post.
I have added you to the first page.

I just was looking on my bookshelf and found Smila's Sense of Snow. I watched the movie a long time ago and thought it was good, and I have heard the book is very good, so I will try to read it at some point. I am in a non-fiction loop that is all I've been reading.

I just updated my reading list, I am on a good clip to meet m goal of 40.
I might even go over 40.

I just started a syfy book by Eric Brown, my favorite Syfy writer called Engineman.

With the nice weather coming I will be reading a lot. I love to sit outside and read or on my terrace and read.

I noticed that you read Kindred. I loved that book. Have you tried Parable of the Sower and Parable of the Talents by the same author, Octavia Butler? She is an amazing author, try those best dystopian books I have ever read.
Default #319
Kindred is the only book by her that i read....but i think i'm done with dystopia for a while! XD

Yeah I totally get that, but these books are different.
If you ever want to try the genre again try these.
Or Station Eleven, which was quite a different take on the subject.
