I studied Japanese in college but I forgot a lot because I didn't speak it often.

Every time I try to have her make me improve my japanese, I just stare blankly at her when she speaks to me because I've forgotten so much vocab.

I saw your list of helpful sites and I have a few that I've used over the years.
kantango.com is another flashcard site that I liked to used.
I've also used rikai.com to help me translate text from japanese to english. This one is nice because you can mouse over kanji and it will identify the common readings and meanings of the kanji.

I've also used google's translation services but they only really provide translations. Most of the time I find them minimally helpful.

I don't like google translation that much ._.

And here I though it was just because you were struck speechless by how much you love me.
