Power outages happen frequently enough here that people are generally prepared. We usually have a decent amount of ice packs in the fridge and freezer to help things last a little longer.

I got some news. My neighborhood isn't affected by the outage!
There are some hills I can see from here. Normally, I can see the lights of the houses and streetlights on the hills, but it is completely dark there right now.

We rarely have that, but because of this, I'm betting a lot of people are doing that.
