I don't watch The Walking Dead either. I tried one episode, once. Zombies aren't really my thing but I don't necessarily shun them...but the blood-and-guts was just too much for poor little me. As great as the story is, I just didn't like the show.

When I watch scary stuff, I much prefer the mystery-suspense-thriller type.

I love zombies, but I'm more fond of new-age zombies than any other kind. That is, the ones that retain their own minds, or can regain their minds when certain requirements are met. I love the Sonny games, I love Warm Bodies, I love iZombie. My life is zombies. Not even scary zombies, just zombies.

See, I don't mind the cyber thing in Soma, I just see them as robots or something. ^^;

I mean, given the occasional violent outburst when she's in danger, of course.

If those zombies ever go for too long without eating, they'll be unable to control their impulses, and eventually even eating brains won't let them revert to their former selves.

...I usually consider those Vampires...seeing as how the only "blood-only" vampire I know of is Stoker's one...others are grave-eaters, child-eaters, liver-eaters, etc.

No, no. She's definitely a zombie. There's no weakness to sunlight, garlic, religious icons, roses in any form, cold... uhh... inability to cross water, inability to enter uninvited... No lack of shadow, or reflection, or image on video/photos... No fangs, or otherwise altered teeth/claws. No ability to shapeshift, selective or otherwise. Injury to the heart (i believe) is not fatal. No reaction to silver. No impulses to count. Definitely no love of mustaches.

I could go on. The point is, vampires usually show at least one of these traits, otherwise it's a different kind of undead.

This kind of reminds me of the web comic Maggot Boy, which I think started before this show? o.O But he doesn't solve crimes persa, he acts more like a crime fighter. :3
