but it seems... even though we now just pick one person and give just them a gift (with the exception of last year) every year for xmas, there's something that i get that just doesn't sit right with me.

last year, hubby had me also. and i started out my email with "what i really want doesn't fit in the budget, but i'd like a chromebook" and then i listed stores out for gift cards. but - hubby got me a chromebook!! (since it came in the mail directly to my house a day or two before actual xmas, i didn't have anything to 'symbolically' open on xmas itself... i just announced that hubby had me and i got a chromebook. although, now that i think about it, my mother-inlaw got me a card with some cash in it last year. huh. didn't get that this year though.

huh. now i see why some people just skip xmas....)

in other news, anyone need anymore sand??

My dad is kinda the opposite. We told him it's a SECRET santa, but he tells everyone whoever he gets, because to hom as long as the person doesn't know, it's still a secret. So this year I'm the only one who knows his giftee xD

so hubby tends to take secrets seriously, and he won't tell anyone who he has.... unless it's unintentional, which i think happened on the day we picked names. he mumbled to his brother that he had me again. (younger daughter heard, so she knew he had me). but i'm pretty sure on xmas eve, older daughter tried to ask who he had, but he wouldn't tell her, other than saying "someone," all coy-like, because SECRET santa.

(had he told her, and she corrected him, i'm sure it wouldn't have mattered for the gift, since it *was* xmas eve already....)

hehe he could've traded like 'hey, you wouldn't be interested in a target's giftcard, would you...' 'DAD!!!'

it was actually older daughter who offered me the gift card. hubby was kinda 'oops.... whatever.'

i also had a short chat with hubby, in which i told him i was hurt that he didn't remember he had me, and he asked if he was going to hear about it all year now (no, he's not).... and then told me "don't you think i feel bad enough about it?" so.... that sounds like an apology. i told him maybe he could make it up to me XD
