No. I say that because you get one of each box for every dollar you donate. You're paying fifty cents for them.

So, really, there should be almost as many boxes as DI's. =/

The thing is, the Pandora's Boxes can only be bought by donating. You can't just buy runes from another user and then buy a Box.

Technically, they're free because you're just buying the runes and getting the boxes as a bonus. But because they're the most limited item on the site, they're worth more because there's way less of them.

If you think about it though a DI is 20 runes.. which is $2 and 2k..
A box is worth 50 cents... which would be 5 runes.. so should only be 500 aurum..

I am happy that I donated to get the boxes. I love the items.

Haha yeah we know. we're just lookin at what they would really be worth. For how much you get for donating.
And to be honest wouldn't it make more sense if they costed less BECAUSE you got them for free?

Is there /really/ way less of them, though? I mean I know at one point we had to donate a dollar at a time to get a box for each dollar, but not anymore, and it hasn't been like that since open beta.

Not to mention, for every two dollars donated (the price of ONE DI) there are four boxes put into the system.

Although with the limit... but it's still not like there's not plenty in the system I would think.
