Long Island is all of New York City. It's a small island not really connected to New York, near New Jersey. If you don't live there, they consider you "Upstate."

I lived in Long Island. It drives me nuts when they say "I live in Long Island, New York" and I'm like 'What town? long Island is just an island there's many towns in it.' It's like saying, I live in England.

Stupid stomach issues... again. I've been throwing up and in pain for the last three days. I don't know if I'm now food intolerable, or, when I nibble on is screwing with me bigtime, but thats why I haven't been around. I actually pretty much slept all day yesterday, finished a book, and only left my bed to make trips to the potty.

Echo: but at the same time, if I say I live in NY state, they assume the city. All the people I talk to from down that way assume that up here we are hicks, and disgusting people. A lot of my classmates (the university here is famous for all the NYC students attending), are surprised when they find out that we don't all dress in flannel and such.

But I guess that's what you get when you have a school about four hours from the city. Close enough to go home on weekends, far enough away to be on their own. -Nods-

Speaking of, my one (evil) professor decided it was okay to hold class while she is contagious with bronchitis! Bloody hell, I'll be lucky to NOT get sick from her.

Holy hell. I went back to the first chapter of my story because I need to re-read so I can make the next chapter. And oh god it was awful. I don't know how any of my readers even stuck through it with me. x.x
