The cat's just a tabby. A ginormous tabby cat. He was born feral, though, so that probably has something to do with it.

Our kitty was a stray too....was found at 3 months, and we picked him up from the pound at 6 mo.

We should all start a new digi-pet trend. It'll be fun. We can bring back the fashion of having sixteen beeping little plastic things tied to your belt loop. I already want the Angel Tamagotchi next. ^^

I hear that the latest Tamagotchi in Japan has more advanced breeding capabilities, and access to the internet (like, it can pick up wifi and your tamagotchi can go wander into another person's tamagotchi egg and make friends) and it's in color. But the market for Tamagotchi outside of Japan is so minimal that they're not going to export them. ]:

I would love it if they had more "advanced" tamagotchi/digital pets like that. And more breeding capabilities and evolution capabilities, so you don't have a linear "I know what the next level is going to look like" thing.

Johnny holy crap that sounds so awesome. I dunno, I mean, they brought some weird ones over, I saw a commercial for them the other day. If they bring those breeding, wifi color ones over, I WILL have to have one. That would just be cool.

Just gotta bring em back and we could have one! ^^

Kids need to put down their phones and pick up those digital pets so people like me can have them back!

We need a "90s Revival" or something. Bring the fads from the 90s back, including the digital pets.

I remember going into stores and there just be wall-to-wall digital pets. Tamagotchi, Giga Pets, Nano Pets, off-brand pets... I want that back!

Okay, wow, so I suddenly felt super old. People in this thread honestly don't know what digipets are. Heh. ^^;;

Tamagotchis are still sold, but not the cool way they used to be. Gigapets, Nanopets, none of those are sold anymore. Sucks, cause I'd love to connect all my pets with my friends and battle and so all sorts of stuff now. But I'm bringing them back. ^^

Let's just hope this craze doesn't revive Furby. o_o
