Yeah. It's because our society is still stuck in a Victorian/Edwardian ideology about children and sex. In reality, children are exploring the bodies in a natural way. There are some studies that show children are in a way, sexual. I won't say whether I agree with it or not, but based on my childhood I can see that being plausible. There is a whole thing about it. But we still show things from Victorian era. Very scary to think that what happened so many years ago still controls the way we think, isn't it?

Well, yeah. It is scary, but at the same time, it is because of our nation's history of influence from Christianity as a whole and the values brought over by cultures from the Old World. Nothing wrong with it, but it is a matter of background.

Well, it also has to do with science not advancing beyond society's capability (well, people's) to adapt and incorporate it into culture and society as a whole.
