Actually... Disney does make money off Sora. I've seen stuff with Sora on them in Hot Topic along with the Disney logo. I didn't see any Square Enix logo anywhere on the packaging.

the whole kingdom hearts franchise was a way to extend the copyright on disney characters so itd make sense that disney owns sora

Disney originally wanted Donald Duck to be the main character in KH. |D If that would have happened... I probably would never have played it since I don't like Donald. >o>;
