Borderlands is the effing s! =D I used to literally play for days on end - without sleep. I'm playing co-op with my boyfriend now, and it's slightly more tedious... we're not a very good team. xD But yeah, it's extremely innovative and well-done compared to most games nowadays.

Edit: Serra, if you do buy it, get the Game of the Year Edition. It has a few of the expansions bundled into it and is cheaper overall.

Alright, I'll keep that in mind Cupcake. I'd love to play it co-op myself, cames usually are a lot more fun that way. Not quite sure who I'd play it with but I have wanted the game since it came out.

I'd play co-op with you! I'm not sure how the online play works, though, dunno if you can do just two players or what.

You do, too, Quiet, I told you about it before. It's like Diablo with guns. Has something like 17 billion different random weapons in it. I was pretty obsessed with it for a while, surely you remember.

It's a first person(?) shooter game with RPG like drops for the weapons. With a quest mode and the like, with bosses and everything. I've never actually played it but many of my friends keep pushing me to get it.

I'm hit or miss on shooters. My favourite is Time Splitters 2 which is first person shooter but also with a co-op and basic quest mode. Never played a third person shooter though, at least in the sense of your dude moving around on the screen. I don't know that third person views in first person games really count.

Borderlands is 1st person, and it's as much an RPG as a shooter. It's just... great. Endless entertainment.

I generally suck at shooters, but Borderlands is enough of an RPG to get me to care about learning to aim. Dirge of Cerberus was a third person shooter, but if you wanted to actually aim you had to go into first person mode. xD

Cupcake and Suzerain, which versions do you have anyways? I know my other friends (who likely don't play it anymore) got it for PC, but I'm always on the fence about versions.

I couldn't even begin to list off my favorite weapons in Borderlands. There are just so many crazy/awesome guns. For practicality, I always liked the Hellfire (submachine gun that shoots incendiary bullets that create clouds of flame) or the Defiler (revolver that shoots acid bullets that eat through armor).

But the wacky guns are just so much fun. Like the Penetrator (full-auto sniper rifle with no recoil) or the Mongol (rocket launcher that shoots multiple rockets that break into even more rockets.)

Oh, also, I have the PS3 version.

And I'm guessing that the different versions can't play with each other. At least that's what it usually seems like.

Yup, no cross-platforming. I have the PS3 game. I've played PC, but my poor computer couldn't handle it and it was all laggy.

My favorite gun is the Double Anarchy SMG - fires four bullets at once, same-level enemies go down in 2-3 seconds.

Heh, oh yes. My Lillith and her Mercenary class mod loved that weapon.

Did you ever get that rifle in the Knoxx expansion that holds over 1,000 rounds and fires them all in about 5 seconds? Can't remember the name, but that thing was ridiculous.
