i actually had the weekend off! yaay! we went to my brother's to celebrate chanukah early, and he's in maryland, and there was a huge accident on 95 in baltimore... it made the national news. eek.

yesterday, younger daughter had a concert yesterday that went very well.

and it's back to work for me this week, my next day off is xmas and the day after. =)

That's fantastic! I hope you enjoyed the break. How did your girl's concert go? You said well, but I mean, details.

well they only played three songs, and i've heard them before. there were like 15 flutes all together, they sounded really good. =)

my bff decided we were supposed to hang out today and the plan was to stay home and watch anime
next thing I know we went to 8 stores looking for an ugly xmas sweater.

I got a xmas card from my grandparents and you can just read the sadness in their tone of voice >.> It makes me feel terrible but NO ONE likes my grandpa's partner....
I should keep in mind to take them to dinner soon next year as a surprise and just sit with them and stop being a terrible grandchild...

Awe you can't let yourself feel like that. But you should take them out if you want too!

Well the thing is really
No one involves my grandpa in anything, except for us because of my father. They would stop over every other weekend for coffee for a few hours and sit and talk with us about the rest of the family (I don't know how many times we would hear the same stories until someone else decided to involve them or call them)
WELL dad's been gone for almost 5 years now, so that's the amount of time they have had less contact with everyone, because you know damn well the rest of the family didn't all of a sudden grow a heart >.>
I wanted to take him out for his birthday, or randomly stop in at dennys and prepay for their tuesday dinner meal they have every tuesday
but life man D: every time I plan something like that life comes up and slaps me in the face with no chances to do what I want D:
And his partner.. "grandma donna" is what she asked us to call her. They've been together for 18 years now but he refuses to marry her. She's a real busybody and likes to share all the gossip with everyone (Including telling my dads ex-wife about his job so she could get more out of his child payments, yet the girls said they got no money from my dad? idk we never had money because we were paying for his child support but apparently they never got it so I'm assuming their mom just took it and never told them.)
So she is more then a problem starter/shit stirrer.

So overall there are more then a few factors to this situation that make it a back and forth issue if that makes sense?

That is quite the pickle. He is still your grandpa, and your happy memories won't change. I think personally, it is important to try and do little things now and then or you may regret it when he is gone . . but maybe you won't I don't know we are all different.

I think when you have a day that you can do one of the things you want to do, do it. But when you simply can't, don't beat yourself up about it ok <3

….. That is a tough situation.

Don't know what actually happened but maybe you should talk about it? It happened a long time ago and he probably has some regrets about it. Also as I have worked with a few sometimes it is a misunderstanding, like the 2 teenagers who sent nudes to each other and because they had those nudes after they turned 18 the NC law decided to charge them both as child sex offenders.
