Let me get this right... You can be "asian" at something, or say "He's so asian" but you cant say "He's so gay" or be "Gay" at something?

People need to man up and get their priorities straight.

I didn't say it was politically correct, or is even okay to say. Just that I've heard it. ... And also being 'Asian' at something would be a compliment because they mean 'awesome' ... Someone saying "It's so gay" is derogatory because they're saying it's 'stupid' ... Just saying.

Er...okay, I haven't read through the whole convo, but just saying, I wasn't using "Asian-fail" to imply anything except that I got a C.

Its only derogotory if it is used in that manner. Besides you dont have to be politically incorrect to say "thats gay". I'm as politically incorrect as they come and the only time I've used "thats gay" is when I'm pointing out somethig that is, in fact, gay.

.... Meaning actually applying to homosexuals? Then that's alright. I always hate when I say "Don't say 'that's so gay.' People who are actually gay take offense." Then they come back with "But you just said gay." ... -facepalm- It's okay to use the word if you actually mean 'happy and frivolous' or 'homosexual' ... Not anything else.

Sorry, this is a topic I feel very strongly about. I don't mean to make anyone feel bad, or scare anyone. ^^;

Dont forget its an individual oppinion, not across the board. I have an Uncle who corrected me that he's not gay, He's a "Faaaaaaaggot" in a sing song voice.

On a side note; my thing is I dont like political correctness; there should be a personal view on whats propper to say, not a ruling that says you cant say "x y z" in a given subject or topic, so on and so forth.

Lol XD I like how people get offended by silly things, honestly I have no problem using that phrase as a substitute for saying thats so stupid. Until the English language deems it out of fashion, like "Smooth move Exlax" or "Wazzz up" I will continue to say it.

@Poggio- It's alright, I guess. People who know me irl know that I am very passionate about this topic and I hate people using 'gay' in anyway other than 'happy' or 'homosexual' ... It's just ... idk. I just get really angry for no good reason. I'm sorry... -hugs-
